A SERIOUS CHARGE.

(Pan Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct, 19. In .the Magistrate's Court to-day a young man named George Skono appeared, to answer the following unusual charge:—-"That ho obtained information contained in s.s. 's position books, which might be useful to His Majesty's enemies,, namely, secret information of mute, movements,, ami position of thotsaid steamship. Contrary to the. Official; Secrets Act,' 1911 (Imperial) . . ." A remand for one week was granted, ami Mr H. F. O'Leary applied for bail.
