In another resolution the Union said ,dt entertained no doubt of Elliott's J'sincoritv, but dissociated itself cntire•ly from the charges and insinuations !contained in i\w letters, which caused 'so much public discussion, and condemned the use and publication of them in a controversy with the Roman Catholic Church.
