KAIRANGA ROADS.

TO THE KDITOH. Sir,—l desire to bring under tho notice of the Kairanga County Council, through the medium of your paper, the nuisance created by the tall fescue growing along the roadside on the Bunnythorpe-Kairanga road, between the Rangitikei line and Karere road. The intensely rank growth is encroaching on the traffic road, which is gradually becoming narrower until in some places there is barely sufficient room for two vehicles to pass; it is also becoming a menace to travelling stock, as one bullock has already become entangled in the growth to 'such an extent that, in endeavouring to extricate itself, it broke a leg. A noxious weed, tho seed of which makes wool almost worthless, is also growing on this road. It is urgently necessary that the fescue should be grubbed out to permit vehicles to pass, and also to make the road more passable for stock. Will the Council attend to these- matters?—l am, etc.. JAMES RYMAN.
