Tho entry of fat cattle was .not only more numerous, but the quality was better and tho prices were, easier, especially for inferior classes. There was a weaker demand for dry.slicep, and ewes and lambs failed in most ca:c:i to reach the reserves. Tho la rfrer, supply of fat lambs caused prices to eveo. The.lat sheep market was also a shade easier at the opening, and towards' the end, as competition slackened off, a good many lots were passed in. Shorn shee]) sold, better in proportion to those in the wool. The bulk of the- large offering of store cattle- was passed in owing to owners' reserves not being reached. Bacon pigs were easier, but porkers and stores again sold well.
