Received October 19, 2.15 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 18. Obituary: Sir William Byles, Commoner. [Sir William Polland Byles, M..P. for Salford since 1906, was born at Bradford in 1836, and was the son of William Byles, founder of the Bradford Observer. Ho was first returned to Parliament in 1892 as member for tho Sliepley Division of Yorkshire, a,nd held the seat' until 1895. He was a strong Radical and Social Reformer. He was knighted in 1911.]
