IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT’S OFFER.

A mooting of hut-tor company representatives was hold in 'Palmerston yesterday to consider the offer of the Imperial Government for the 1917-18 exportable output of blitter. There was a representative, attendance, and it was the general opinion that the offer of loos*per cwt., f.0.b., at the rate of Is ' 4|d per II)., was not satisfactory in view of the Imperial Government's arrangement to pay 170s per cwt. to other countries.
