A FIGHT IN THE AIR. Austra lism-Now Zealand Cable Association. LONDON. Oct. 14. Sir 'Douglas Haig reports:—'The Eastern County troops successfully raided southeastward of Monchy le Prcux. Friday’s prisoners now number 943, including 41 officers A British air patrol on Saturday enconnuu od a formation double our strength. A determined fight ensued. Four of ours have not returned. Other Allied machines, which arrived too late to participate, saw several enemy machines falling, being out of control.
