STRATFORD, Oct. 12._ The Temperance Hotel ol 21 rooms, in tho township of Whangamovuona, owned by McGkiggall Bios., and occupied by Mrs Snicder, was totally destroyed by fire, the occupants escaping in their night, attire. Insurances: Building £IOOO, furniture. £4OO. Tho building cost £IBOO to erect,. AUCKLAND, Get. 12, The Papakura Hotel was destroyed by fire this morning. The inmates got, out with difficulty: nothing was saved. Milson’s blacksmith’s shop adjoining was also damaged. The building was owned by Hancock and Co. and insured for £1250, The, stock and insurance are not ascertainable.
