ZEALANDIA H ALL OPENING TO-NIGHT. To-night tho Zealandia Hall reopens under auspicious circumstances at a. fixed scale of charges: stalls 3d, circle 6d, and a magnificent Metro programme beaded by the grandly emotional play in five reels, “The Weakness of Strength,” it is a masterly story which takes the spectator through stirring: adventures and exciting situations amidst some, of the most awecompelling and gorgeous scenery in Western Canada. Amongst these strange surroundings the romance of two girls is unwound. They are living out their lives among men whose primal passions remain unchecked, except by the unwritten laws of that wild and stormy part of the world. The hero, as portrayed by Mr Edmund Breeze, is a man whose vaulting ambition seeks the mastery of power. 11 is is a dominant nature; in order to reach the power lie- desires, til) friendships are annulled and love is driven from ids life. His adventurous career commands admiration and pity. Admiration tor Ins great success in achieving bis ambition, and a great pity for the lonely old man who realises too Into that there is nothing worth having but love. In addition to the star feature, a fascinating programme of picked subjects will be shown; these include a sparkling comedy in which (lie popular l\li- and Mrs Sydney Drew are featured; a very laughable farce starring Max Linder, who is one of the best farce comedians of the. present day; a travelogue, and a charming .scenic. Two sessions will be run. The first will begin at. 6.30 and the second about 8.10. The star feature, "The Weakness of Strength.” will be put on the' screen at 6.50 and 8.30. Everything points ro the new venture meeting with iho greatest success.
