j A meeting of the Management Commitj tee of the Manawatu Cricket Association . was hold last evening, when the following ,-were present: —Messrs Le Grange (in the i chair), Cade, Pycroft, Brennand, Stevens j and the 'secretary. It was resolved that 'the mid-week competitions he opened toj morrow, and that the Saturday matches \ commence on the 14th instant. The meeting was enthusiastic regarding a mid-week junior competition, which is to commence this week. The discussion regarding one day matches was postponed until the end of the first round. The following fixtures were drawn up: Wednesday the 11th and 18th instant— ISenior: High School v. Phoenix, No. 1 j wicket; Railway v. Druids, No. 2 wicket. Junior: High School A v. Collinson and Cunninghame, No. 3; High School B v. Technical School, No. 4. I Saturday, 14th and 21st instant.—Midland v. Colts, No. 1 wicket; Railway v. High School, No. 2 wicket. j Oroua team for Wednesday against Rail- : way. at 2.30 sharp.—Watchom, Totman, Skiimcr, Pycroft, Robb, Hollier, Jackson, Tait, Mitchell. Poderson and Eyre. At a meeting of the Oroua Lodge of Druids last, night decided to form a cricket club in connection with the lodge, the following officers being appointed: Patron, Bro. D. Buick, M.P.; president, Bro. F. Pycroft; vice-presidents, Bros. J. A. Nash, J. Mounscv, S. Marriott, H. Watt, A. Hopwood, F". Tattle. Dr. Rorke. Dr. Peach, Dr. Bctt. Dr. Stowe, Dr. Greig, W. F. Cutler, M. Millar,, A. Giorgi, A. Bradfield, F. Jackson, C. S. Rush. ('. J. Page, T. Mitchell." W. H. Cox, E. Griffiths, J. Atkinson, T. Lind, J. S. Watchorn J. Simpson, S. Watson, R. Eyre, J. H. Fletcher, A. J. Graham; secretary and trtasurer, Bro. W. H. Skinner; club captain, Bro. F. Pycroft, junr.; delegato to Association., Bros. J. Proud and F. Pycroft. ; management committee, Bros. A. G. Lyall. C. S. Rush, W. H. Skinner. J. B. Proud, F. Pycroft, senr. ; captain. Bro G. Watchorn: vice-captain, Bro. W. H. Skinner; selectors, Bros. Skinner, Pycroft and Watchorn. It was decided to enter a team for the Wednesday competitions, the club to be known as the Oroua Cricket Club. The club colours are blue. The olub haa several good players in its ranks, who should give a good account of themselves during the season. A first-class lot of material has been secured, and practice will commence right away.
