In the country club championship ihe shield was won easily by Masterton Club. Manawatu being tlie only other club represented.

Special gold medals were presented to the four visiting Americans in recognition of their sterling; performances. The party left by the evening; train for Palmerston North en route to Hamilton for their final meeting.

Stratford, of Awapuni. won the hop, ■tep and jump championship at tho above sports. Stagpoole, besides competing in and winning; the 120 yards hurdles championship, also competed in the handicap hurdles, but, had the misfortune to fall. K. Tait, of Palmerston, filled third place in this event.
