Mr L. Somers. the Mayor of To Aroha. has been asked to conte+d the Thames seat in the Liberal interest ai. the general election, and it is understood that he will allow himself to ho nominated. Mr A. E. Jul!, who was a visitor to Dannevirke yesterday, when spoken to by a News reporter, said he would in all probability he a candidate at the next, election for "die Waipawa seat in the interests of the Opposition.
