POLITICAL.
Mr T. M. Wilford, M.P. for Hutt, lias accepted an invitation to deliver a political address at Masterton, and will speak there on Friday evening. Sir Joseph Ward will speak in the Wairarapa shortly. It is understood that Mr J. T. M. Hornsby will not contest the Wairarapa seat at next election and that the Opposition candidate will be. Mr J. W. Card, solicitor, of Featherston.
A contemporary states that the Mayor of Wellington (Mr J. P. Luke) will be a candidate for the Wellington Suburbs seat at the next general election in the Government interest.
