BURT BEFORE THE COURT

At the Police Court this morning James Burt, a well set-up man of about 3o years of age, was charged that between 6 p.m. on September 2 and 8 a.m. on September 3, at Palmerston, he did break and enter the shop of H. S. Wycherly with intent to commit a crime. Mr W. Park, J.P., presided. Detective-Sergeant Quirke applied for a remand for eight days. Accused did not object to the remand, but eaid he desired to engage counsel.

Detective-Sergeant Quirke: He will get every opportunity to do that. ' The remand was granted.
