LONDON, May 10. , Tbe National Union of Woman's Suffrage is arranging for a pilgrimage oi seventeen processions from all parts*'of the country to London, carrying out propaganda work en route. They. WHI attend a service at St. Paul's on the 27th of July. Suffragettes cut the seats and fittings of. a taxi cab wherein they had been hiding, and did damage to the extent <tf £lO.
A clockwork bomb and suffragette literature: were found in the sorting \ department of the Reading Post Office addressed to an official of the Town Hall. '.. '_
A bomb was placed in the waitingroom of Lime street station at Liverpool inscribed "Votes Tor Women." The taper attached, however, flickered out before reaching the powder. Farringtoh Hall, Dundee, the residence of Mr Henry McGrady, the former Lord Provost, was burned in six places simultaneously. It is believed to have been the work of suffragettes. The damage is estimated at £IO,OOO. Mr Whiteley, secretary of the Labour Press Company, has been arrested for printing the suppressed paper "The Suffragette."
Received May 12, 9.40 a.m. LONDON, May 11. The suffragettes broke into an unoccupied house in Newcastle, but were discovered and decamped, leaving a pail of inflammable material, two tins of petrol, and firelighters. 'A large empty house at Beckenhac was burned.
The total damage inflicted by the suffragettes during the week is estimated at £50,000.
