Mr George Lipsoy, who died at Te Aroha last week, possessed a very generous disposition. Some years ago he and his wife made a gift to the New Zealand Government of the present beautiful and picturesque Domain grounds at Te Aroha, and among other gifts by them well worthy of mention are the sites on which St. Mark's Church and the State school now stand in that township.
