DISASTROUS BUSH FIRES
HEAVY LOSSES IN AUSTRALIA
(Bt Electric Tilbgraph—Copyright). (Per Press Association.) SYDNEY, Jan. 29. Exceptionally dry weather has prevailed, and the heat has caused numerous bush fires. Fencing and stock have been lost. The Sackville district, where the Tizzana vineyards are. has suffered losses to the extent of £2OOO. The Sackville School of Arts was burned Furniture was removed from one house and placed in the road, but a spark got in amongst it. and most of the furniture was destroyed. The house was saved. An outbreak in the Milton district delayed traffic owing to burning trees falling across the roads.
