WEDDING BELLS.

OAKLEY-NORWOOD. A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Patrjck's Church this morning, tho contracting parties being Mr F. J. Oakley, solicitor, of Palmerston, and eldest son of Mr F. Oakley, senr., one of Palmerston'fi oideet settlers, and Miss Madge Norwood, daughter of Inspector Norwood, of Invorcurgill, but formerly of Palmersion North. The brido, who was given away by her father, was attired in mousclinc-dc-.ioit with ninon funic, draped in front with "true lover's knots" worked in pearls. The bodice well finished on one side with real Brussels net with a. spray of ornngc blossoms, The court train was of mouselino-dc-sott with "true lover's knots" and pearls. The bride was attended by Miss Mabel Oakley a? bridesmaid, while Mr Harold Oakley acted as best man. After a dainty wedding breakfast the happy couple left by the express from Auckland en route to Duncrlin. where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride's travelling dress was of blue clnfh frimmed with velvet to match white cloih in reveres braided in gold. The hat was i' black lagel straw with black lancet plume! finished wilh a large Oriental buckle. Tho officiating priest was Rev. Father Doolaghty assisted by Father Kehoe. At the church Mr R. Oakley played the wedding march
