ANOTHER ALLEGED CURE FOR CANCER.

SOME SATISFACTORY RESULTS-

Particulars have como to hand respecting two cases of cancer at Goullioiini (says the Svtlney Morning Herald) which arc said to have been cured hy the molasses treatment. A .wellknown citizen has fully investigated the matter, and lie has furnished us with a report on the result of his labours. Ho states that the cures are genuine. The first case ho inquired into was that of Mrs Wilson, of North Goulbourn, who was lound to he well and strong and able to do her housework. Two years ago she was operated ■on at the Lewieham Hospital, and was declared to be incurable. She was suffering acutely at the time, and it was feared she would not live through the journey to her homo at Goulbourn, Her husband, who accompanied her, thought on two occasions during the journey that she was dead. After arriving home! there seemed to be no hope. Her cough was distressing, and the pain very severe. The molasses treatment was advised and acted upon, and in a fortnight the cough was much relieved, and the general conditions of the patient improved. Twelve months later she was pronounced cured, and for tho last, twelve months hao been in good health. She commenced with dessertspoonfuls of molasses throe* times, a day, but there was a difficulty in keeping the stuff in the stomach. So a table, spoonful of soda water, with a teaspoonful of brandy was given directly after taking the molasses. When she became strong enough two dessertspoonfuls were giveii at a time. Mrs Wilson continues to take it daily. The second case investigated was that of a Mrs Slater, of Goulbourn, who is 45 years of age. Mrs Slater was HI a long time, and the doctore, it is stated, could not discover the cause- of her malady, but four months _ ago three medical men pronounced it cancer. The growth, an internal one, was situated in an organ of the body, for which nothing could be done. Mre Slater was advised to talio molasses, and in a few weeks her friends saw a great improvement. Her cough was easier and the pain much less. She 'has ; now been taking 'the molasses for four months, and there is said to be every_ hope of a permanent euro. This .patient also commenced with a tablcspoonful of molasses, and the nurse had to give tho soda water with brandy, as in Mrs Wilson's case. There were several r<?lap6cs of pain in this case, and a poultice of molasses was applied to the part and relieved tho paui. But on the whole tho improvement has been permanent. In the second instance, a.Correspondent wrote:— Great interest is being exhibited in Queensland in connection with an alleged euro for cancer discovered at Mackay months ago by a man named Braun, who cured himself with a special treatment in which a preparation of molasses formed an important part. Dr. Henzell, medical officer for the, district and resident ..surgeon in the Mackay. Hospital, stated last week that two hospital patients, both suffering from a growth in tho stomach, were, being cured by the molasses treatment. The mail had been l under one operation, and the doctor had not the slightest doubt it is a case of true cancer, Regarding the second case Dr. Honzell is not- positive it is true cancer, as it is difficult to state definitely without operation. He, howeverj states that in this case tho patient suffered from . a serious growth which is .being eradicated by: molasses. .
