DRUIDS' LODGE.

The fortnightly meeting of tlijb. Oroua Lodge of Druids, No. 5. was held at the Oddfellows' Hall, Cuba street, , last night, A.D. Bro! Geo, Marshall presiding over a good "attendant members. Four candidates were initiated, one member joined on clearance and five were proposed for membership. Votes of thanks were passed to Bro. Pycroft and all who had assisted in the recent football match at Dannevirkc. A letter of thanks was also ordered to be sent to the JDannevirke Lodge for the excellent treatment accorded the team during their stay at Dannevirke. It was announced that a card match would be played with the Hibernians at their Lodge room on Tuesday, October 10th, and it was decided to meet at 7.80 p.m. sharp on this night/ After passing accounts and transacting the usual business the Lodge was closed and a card match played between teams chosen by Bros. Pycroft and Fidler, victory resting with Bro. Pycroft's team by four games, the scores being Pycroft 38, Fidler 34.
