Jack Johnson, tho world's champion prize-fighter, is reported by cablo to havo signed a contract with tho Australian promotor (Mr Mcintosh) under which he is to get tlio sum of £20,000 for threo fights, probably with Langford, Lang, and Lester. A correspondent at Charlcville telegraphs to the Sydney papers that in connection with tho North Queensland amateur boxing championship, at "Charters Towers, tho Rev. Hulton Same defeated J. Golloghly on point.? in tho light weight event. Tho minister also beat J. May on points in the welter weight contest.
