RUGBY UNION. Tho Management Committee of the Manawatu Rugby Union mot last evening, there being present, Messrs Gibbons (president), McVVilliams, Pawson, Greathead, and Foote. Arrangements made by Mr L. Pirnni in\ connection with the team to play Oroua, at Kimbolton, aro to be ascertained, as a number of Palmerston players will be available, it having been decided not to visit Napier. Tho Football Association was granted the use of the Oval on Saturday next for the championship final between Jackeytown and Rangers. Palmerston 111. and a Wellington team will meet on the 'outside ground at 1.30 on Saturday, and a match between Kia | Tea 111. and Rod Star (Masterton) 111. will bo played afterwards. The Awarua Union is to bo asked if Saturday week, tho 16th iust., will bo a suitable'date for a visit from Manawatu. The team to represent tho Manawatu referees in a match against the Wellington referees, at Wellington, on Saturday, will bo as follows;-Full-back, T. Parata; three-quarters, MeMinn, Godfrey, Eghnton; fivo-tighths, L. Piram, Stagpoolc; half, MoKewcn; wing forward, W. Boon; forwards (hookers), brown and Hardie, (lock) Fraser, (supports) Kylo and Desmond, (back row) Musgove, Mansford. Emergencies: R. Smith, Tahiwi, Thomas, Kelly, Freeman.
