AN AUCKLAND MYSTERY.
UNKNOWN WOMAN'S DEATH. SENSATIONAL DEVELOPMENTS POSSIBLE. (Pun Priw Association.) AUCKLAND, June 14. An extraordinary case of an unknown woman lining found dead in tlio houso of a well-known resident at Kingsland is at present occupying tlio attention of the Auckland police. The whole affair is at present a mystery, and it is believed that further investigation will lead "to the disclosure of (sensational particulars. • According to the information at pre-' sent in the hands of tlio detectives, a woman last night called at the house of a well-known Kingsland resident, and although an utter stranger prevailed upon the lady of tlio house to take her in., Subsequently she was allowed to lie down, and .a few, hours later was found dead. The police describe the body as being that of a woman of between 30 and 40 years of ago. of stout build and brown hair, and it is believed she came from the country.
