WEDDING BELLS.

,A very pretty wedding wag solemnised at the Pohangina Methodist. Church-on Wednesday, April 12th, when Miss Ruby Matthews, daughter of Mr F. Matthews, of Raumai, was married'to Mr William Mitchell, eldest 6dn of Mr C. Mitchell, of Ashluirst. The Rev. T. T. Thomas was the officiating minister. The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion by 'the. friends of the' brido. The bride, .who was given away by her father, looked charming, attired in a robe of cream; silk voile> trimmed with all-overlace and embroidered with peark She also wore the orthodox, veil and orange blossom;,and carried a shower bouquet. She was attended by l)or throe, sisters, Miss Florrie Matthews, who acted as first bridesmaid, was attired in cream voile, trimmed with cream silk insertion and wore a black bucket hat, trimmed with cream feathers and silver braid. Miss Mabel Matthews was attired in cream limtre, trimmed with silk insertion, aiid wore a' black, picture hat, trimmed with Marguerite daisies. Miss Marjory Matthews was attired in.-a frock of crushed strawberry; trimmed with insertion and cream silk. The bridesmaids also carried shower bouquets. Mr Howard Mituhell, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man, and Mr F. Sinclair as groomsman. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a beautiful gold brooch, sot with pearls and rubies, and to the bridesmaids gold horseshoe brooches. Tho presents were,both numerous and valuable. The happy couple left amidst showers of rice and good wishes for Wellington, where the honeymoon was spent.
