Dr Pomare, of the Native Health Department,' is resigning his position in six weeks' time, to contest the Western Maori - seat. His chief objects are to defeating Hon. T. Mahuta and help the natives by raising them to a higher sanitarv and hygienic level. Pepene Eketon'e, defeated at last election, is also standing. _ _ . '
