FIELD SHIELD WON BY
HAUTERR.
The third annual' competition for the Field Shield, which was presented by Mr "W. Field', M.P. for Otaki, for competition by the rifle clubs in that electorate, was held on the Hokowhitu range to-day.. The weather was good, although the- wind and light wore rather tricky. Some excellent shooting was done during the match, and the result, after a close finish, was that Hautere Club secured the trophy by a narrow margin from Ngatiawa.
