GLEN OROUA.
The annual meeting of the Glen Oroua Social Club was held in tho Hall on Wednesday evening, there being a fair number present. Mr Ross, senior, was voted to tho chair. After it had been unanimously decided to again form a Social Club, it was'ebcided to again make a few alterations in tho running of it. Instead of alternately a short and long night danco, it was decided to mako them all long nights, and to be held on Tuesdays instead of as previtusly, on Wednesday evenings. Fifteen shillings was fixed as tho subscription, ladies free, the Club to provide refreshments. A committee of five gentlemen was elected, with powers to add live ladies, to iramige tho affairs of tlie Social Club for the ensuing season. Mr 11. R. Russell was unanimously elected secretary. It was decided to hold _tho opening ilim:e on Tuesday evening. 4th April. Tho football club is now preparing for the opening of 'he season, which ta'-.es place on 22nd April. This is considerably earlier than last year, but it is intended to have four rounds in the League con:petition, instead of three as before. All association football players arc advised io get into communication with the R. Rd's, junr., as caily as possible, as tho toam must start in fit condition; Hie other team; in the competition aro already in training.
