I WELLINGTON, Dec. 31. ; A good, deal of interest is being taken in the forthcoming examination for admission to the Australian Military College. The ten highest in the examination will be chosen to enter on a military career. The New Zealand Defence authorities have made application to the Victoria College Council to conduct the examinations about the middle of February. , It is understood that all New Zealand candidates will be required to como to Wellington.

At the adjournment hour, W. E. Mason, beat Beck, and J. Mason beat Fox. The other.games were unfinished.
