LONDON, Dec. 30.
Reuter says the Foreign Office has received no indication of. the critical situation in Portugal, nor any request for a warship to be sent. Inquiries in Portuguese circles in London do not confirm the statements of a conspiracy, the report that an important Royalist movement is on .the tapis is doubted. It ie generally admitted that the public services are disorganised, that discipline in the army is unsatisfactory, and the behaviour of the public has deteriorated. Many labour disputes have interfered with certain manufactures.
