A CYCLIST'S ADVICE.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —I noticed in your columns that a member of the Society for the _ Prevention of Cruelty to Animals had spoken of the practice of carrying children on bicycles, and would like to put a etop to it. Probably this gentleman or old lady cannot ride a bicycle, or he might know it to be about as safe _a means 01 locomotion as any other. It is not likely that parents will be less.careful of their children's welfare than other people. 1 would suggest to this member that he confine his advocations to the administration of anaesthetics to cows while- being dehorned, or the prevention of cutting off lambs' tails.
