HALLEY'S COMET.

OBSERVED AT WANGANUI. (Pek Press Association.) WANGANUI, April 13. Halley's comet was picked up by the Director of the Wanganui Observatory at 5.10 this morning. Its position was right ascension 23 hours 53 minutes and north declination 7 degrees 55 minutes. The nucleus is very bright and distinctly expanded across the major axis of the comet. The coma is distinct, and the tail could be traced for about five minutes of the arc. It could be seen distinctly till 4.45.
