Millar, Minister for Railways, has completed his investigation of the Queensland railway system, and has gone to Melbourne and Adelaide to conduct a similar inquiry there. ■ The Rev. Hugh Bcggs, who recently underwent a successful operation upon his eyes at Dunedin, is still in that cfitv. but expects a few weeks' rest will fully restore him to health, and enable him to resume his church work in his new station, Mount Eden, Auckland. Mr W. C. Buchanan, M.P., who returned to his home at Tupurupuru last is making a very satisfactory recovery from the injuries ho received in tho motor accident.
