NEW ROLLING STOCK.
A LARGE AUTHORISATION. (Per Phf.ss Association.) WELLINGTON. April 11. An expenditure of £60,000 on now rolling stock for the railways was authorised by the Cabinet to-day, also £8000 for new machinery for the railway workshops. A tender was accepted for the electrification of portions of the machinery at Addington workshops. Orders were approved for the purchase of military equipment to the extent of £49,000.;
