ARGENTINE CONDITIONS.
INFORMATION WANTED
(Per Phess Association.) NAPIER, April 9. Comment was made yesterday at a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce to the absence of reliable news concerning the Argentine trade. A member pointed out that a drought of an extensive character had occurred there, and this affected the output enormously. The price went up in London, and this information would have been very useful to the Dominion producers if obtained promptly instead of having to wait six weeks. The Chamber resolved that the Minister for Agriculture be asked_ to make arrangements with the High Commissioner for cabling reliable information as to what is happening in the Argentine as affecting the New Zealand trade.
