The hinds were reported the previous week as having sold at about 3gd. The butter market is firm, with a hardening tendency. The- average price for the week for choicest New Zealand butter was 1235. The cheese market is steady and the demand only moderate. The average price of New Zealand finestwhite cheese is 62e per cwt, coloured 60s 6d. The cheese transhipped from the Kaipara is making la per cwt less. The hemp market is. dull for_ NewZealand. Prices on spot—Good fair £24 10s per ton. fair £23 10s. Nominal April-Juno shipment —Good fair £24, fair £23. Tho stock of New Zealand hemp on hand is 20S tons. The week's output at Manila was 32.000 bales. The cocksfoot seed market is quiet, owing to the poor demand. New Zealand bright clean 171b seed on spot, 71s per cwt.
