Last week a daughter of Mr L. B. M Fayden, of Gleniffer. was admitted to Nurse Lewis' private hospital. Bellmffcn (N.S.W.), suffering from a very bad caused bv a rooster spurring her on the' side of the knee. It appears that the sirl. who is about 11 years ot age, was feeding some pet chickens on a bos, when the mother ot the chicKons also iuirmd up. The child attempted to beat the hen back. An old rooster flew at the girl with tho result that he spurred her on the side of the knee, tho point of the spur entering the joint of tho knee. i«nc unfortunate "child has been suftonng intense agony, septic poisoning having set in. Dr. Myles is doubtful about her ever regaining the use of her leg. Business hunters will find the "Standard" the medium to advertise in if they wish to get their wares before the people of Palmerstori and district.
