Tho weather was perfect for the second day oi' the Wellington Racing Club's meeting, and tho attendance was again good. Tho course was in perfect order, lngoda established a time record for the Sfc Leg'cr Stakes, which she won in 3.2, being three seconds ahead of Treadmill's timo in 1904. Totalisator investments amounted to £16,102, as against £13,270 on tho corresponding -day of last year. Tho total for the meeting was £28,571 10s, as against £24.808 last year. Bookmakers' fees totalled £300 10s, Results: — Second Ilui-dlo Handicap, of 200 sovs; 1-i miles.—W. Jack's Gold Bird 10.2 1. Hydrant, 10.3 2. Longner 10.9 3. Also ran : Exmoor, Mooso and Chase Mab. Gold Bird, who held fourth position during tho greater pa-vt of the race, shot up when entering the 'straight, and won by half a length. Time, 2.46 4-5. 'Hutt Handicap, of 150 sovs; one mile. —Middleton Melrose's Truganini 9 9 1, Bollin 9.4 2, Mataari 9.0 3. Also ran: llilarian, Swimming Belt, Adria, Aboriginal. Swimming Belt got left. Tho opening day's racing in connection with the Avondalc Jockey Club's autumn meeting took place to-day. Results : — Maiden Plate, six furlongs.—Pcnwarden 1, Kilsyth 2, Sir Rupert 3.
