MEETING OF THE NORTHERN ASSOCIATION. AN INTERPRETATION WANTED. >Peb Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April- 8: The council of the Northern Bowling Association met to-night. The Palmerston Club asked for an ■ interpretation of Rule 17, concerning the banner and shield "open door" policy now being in operation. The rule states that the banner goes to the Club scoring most wins. It was decided that owing to the adoption of the "open door" policy, rule 17 had become inoperative, and steps would be taken to alter it. In referring to the nomination of a vice-president for Auckland, the Auckland Club, nominated Mr W. Elliott, What should have been done was for each rJnliated club in the Auckland centre to jointly nominate a vice-pre-sident. It was decided to write to the Auckland-Club, asking it to convene a meeting of affiliated clubs to make the nomination. It was decided to invite applications for either an honorary or paid secretary. A committee was ajjpointed to re- ' vise the miles.
