Mrs Rowlce and' family, who have been resident in this district for some time, have taken up their abode in Palmerston North. —Mrs Fouhey, who has been on a visit here, left for" her home last Wednesday.—Porter Warner, accompanied by Mrs Warner, returned ,from the South this evening. I join with all his many friends in wishing them every happiness and prosperity in the future The local Presbyterians have made a forward movement by taking the lease of the Gospel Hall for twelve months. They have mado all preparations for holding their eervices in it' on Sunday (April 10). The morning service will _be held at 11.30 a.m., and in the evening the service will bo conducted by Mr_Gibb, tho new minister appointed for this district, and it ie expected that tho seating capacity of the hall will be well tested, Mr Jamieson recently sent a number of fat lambs through the Gear Meat Co., which netted him 12s 6d each.
