Mr and Mrs Hornblow, of Foxton, returned to-day from their holiday trip to Rotorua and To Aroha, much benefited by the change Mr Martin Winj.ata, the well-known footballer of Levin, is about to start on a motor car tour, proceeding to Napier Taupo and Rotorua. Mr T. E. Thompson, teller in tho Levin branch of the Bank of Auetralasia, has received notice to transfer to Dannevirke, in which town the bank is about to open a new branch. Dr J. M. Mason has boon appointed vice-president of the section of State Medicine at tho forthcoming annual meeting of the British Medical Association. It is notified that Sir Norman Montgomerie Abercrombie Campbell, tenth baronet of Kiklalliog, Campbelltown, Argyllshire, and of Kaikora., Hawke's Bay*. New Zealand, left estate in the United Kingdom worth £1256. Advice by the mail states that Mr F. Baume, M.P., and Mrs Bauine have reached Marseilles, the former much improved by the trip. Mr Baume, after spending gome time in the Riviera, will proceed to Nauheim. where he will undergo treatment for heart disease. Mr Henry Charles Haselden, son of Mr C J. A. Haselden, ex-Undor-Secre-tarv for Justice, and nephew of Mr W. R. "Haselden, S.M., died at Auckland last Saturday. The deceased, who was a native of "New Zealand, was 48 years of age He was educated at Wellington College, and for some time was in business in Palmerston as a bookseller and stationer. During his residence in Auckland he contracted a. severe cold, and his lungs becoming seriously affected, death occurred on Saturday.
