The Australasian yield was 2,375,000 bales valued at 32£ millions sterling. At the inquest on Wright, the victim of the Broken Hill explosion, a son expressed the opinion that there had been foul play.

At the Pericles enquiry tho second officer, who checked the bearings, said he had been round Cape Lceuwih thirteen times. The Pericles was no nearer land than previously. Tho enquiry was adjourned till Monday.
Large quantities of cargo are reported to be floating in the vicinity of the wreck and 600 boxes of butter wero beached in Flinders Bay.
