THE GOVERNOR IN THE SOUTH.
(Pee Pr.Kas Association.) GORE, April 7. The Governor stayed at Mataura last night, and this morning, accompanied by Sir Joseph Ward. Mr Anderson, M.P.. tiie Mayor and Councillors, he visited the Mataura paper mills, the freezing works and public school. The Governor referred in eulogistic terms to the prosperity of the town and its Tic then left ior Gore, where he laid the foundation stone of a new Masonic Ilall in the presence of a large gathering of brethren.-
