DOUBLE DROWNING FATALITY.'^ A sad drowning fatality occurred at \ Kindra woolehod tank, three miles from \ Coolamon (Australia), on March 27, when Alexander Campbell (27) and John Campboll (20). brothers, who were share farmers on the Kindra Estate, were acci-' dentally drowned, together with a valuable draught horse. It appears that in the afternoon the younger brother drove the horse attached to a- dray into tho tank for the purpose of giving the animal a drink. The animal went into deep water and sank. The occupant of the dray was unable to swim, and the elder brother, who went to his assistance, became exhausted, and both were drowned. No one saw the accident, but their parents became alarmed at their sons' absence, nnd a search was made for them. They wero trnced to the tank, and indications were found of a serious accident. The matter was reported to the Coolarnaii police, and Constable Hoaley went to tho scene, and in a couple of hours had both bodies recovered. The bodies had been in the water for several hours. Both deceased hailed from Victoria. They were hard-working, industrious young fellows. MINERS' DELEGATES RELEASED. "They put a Chinaman to sleep in the same cabin with me. I could not stand sleeping with a Chinaman. That is the reason I did it."
