tfEB rHESS ASSOCIATION." AUCKLAND, April 5. Fredk. Wrigglesworth, 60 years of age, living in a- boarding-house at Ponsonby, shot himself twice with a revolver. Two shots were heard and Wrigglesworth was found in bed. with a smoking revolver in his hand and his ehirt ablaze. There was a bullet wound in his left temple and another in the left breast. There is but little hope of his recovery. Immediately previous to the act Wrigglesworth appeared to be in excellent spirits. John Saunders, a wharf labourer, was struck in the back of the ncck by a bag cf sugar, which slipped from the slings. He had his spine fracturcd, causing paralysis, and was removed to tho hospital in a serious condition.
