LONDON, April 4. The newspaper Economist states that the quarter's capital applications totalled £99,355,600, compared with £64,238,400 for the corresponding quarter of 1909. Rubber companies' applications represented £6,087,000. Colonial issues totalled £28,967,700, whereof Australia and New Zealand took £10,196,000. The United States absorbed £16,700,000, chiefly in railway bonds.
