BOWLING.
The beautiful weather on Saturday made bowling delightful and a number of important matches were played. J. A. Nash's rink journeyed to Feilding after the Yates Feathers, but were unsuccessful, the holders being victorious by 24 to 15.
A Marton rink, comprising Messrs W. Ward, G. Duck, J. Bell and H. Sutcliffe (skip) made a descent on the Dixon Cup and Tucker Badges, but the "holders (Tusker's rink) were too strong for them, and they were defeated by 20 to 15, after a very good game. An interesting game was played last week for the Wish art Feathers between a rink skipped by M. Hodgins and one by F. J. Taskcr. After a good fight Hodgins' rink was victorious, and would have secured the feathers but for the fact that they had challenged the wrong team —the holders being J. A. Nash's
On tho Feilding green a rink skipped by Parkes recovered the Winter Featheirs from Barry's combination. The Pahnerston Club's Easter tournament promises to be a great success again this year, and entries have been promised from Hawko's Bay, Wellington, Manawatu Line, Marton and other districts. Entries close with the secretary on Thursday, the 24th.
