WANGANUI BANG CONTEST.

WANGANUI. March 14. Most of the bands faking part in the band contest, which commences tonight, have arrived. Three are coming in by the mid-day trains. The contest will be held in the_ Racecourse grounds, where the visiting bandsmen will be to-morrow entertained at a garden party. Should wet weather be experienced the competitions will be held at the Opera House. A large number of visitors are in town.
