A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
At the annual meeting of the Mana-wat-u A. and P. Association on Saturday the following business was transacted in addition to what appeared in Saturday s issue: — ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The folowing officers were elected: — President, Mr C- A J. Lovettvicepresidents, Messrs D. Buick, R Hodder. A. Conway, J- G. liarkness; treasurer, Mr J. M. Johnston (unopposed) ; committee, Messrs S. R. Lancaster W. J. Birch, C. Dunk, F. S. McRae. H. J. Booth, H. Y. I.ethbridge, S. gtanden. W. Mc'Kcnzic._ F/~ L.Jackson.. F. Robinson. J. McKclvie, 1. R. TVillis. auditors, Messrs Rutherfurd and Connell. Mr C. A. J. Levett, in taking his place as president, thanked members for bestowing on him so great an honour. VOTES OF THANKS. Mr J. 0. Batehelar moved a very heartv vote of thanks to the retiring president (Mr S. R. Lancaster), _ whom he stated had been indefatigable in carrying out his duties. In seconding the motion Mr Birch said only committeemen knew how much work was entailed m the presidentship, and Mr Lancaster had been most diligent in his work. Tho motion was carried amid applause, and Mr Lancaster thanked the members for their vote. Mc Johnston, moved a vote ot thanks to Mr Short, for his substantial and elegant donation of 100 guineas, and the motion 'was carried with acclamation. The treasurer (Mr J. M. Johnston), the staff, and the press were similarly honoured. as were also two retiring members of the committee. Messrs R. Aldworth and A E Russell. GENERAL. Mr G. C. Wheeler brought up the question of the three days' Show. The fact that the stock was not there on the nrst day was a drawback. lie thought the three days' Show was not an unqualified success, and he moved that the question of reverting to two days be a recommendation to the General Committee. Mr Johnston seconded the motion. After a desultory discussion tho matter was dropped, it being considered that the Committee could deal with it if it felt so inclined.
