A SERIOUS CHARGE.
Peter McCarthy (19), a greengrocer, was charged at the Central Police Court on January 27th with causing the death of Michael O'Sullivan, a labourer, who expired at the Sydney Hospital from a fractured skull, alleged to have been caused by accused. It appears that deceased took some vegetables from accused's cart, and accused asked him to go away. Deceased refused to go away, and accused pushed him, and he foil. He' was taken to the hospital, where it was found his skull was fractured, and he was also suffering from hemorrhage of the brain. On hearing of O'Sullivan's death McCarthy gave himself into custody.
