WOOL SALES. (Per Pbebs Association.) INVERCARGILL, Feb. 8. The third and last wool sale of the season was held to-day, 2128 bales being offered. Finer grade wool had all boon disposed of at previous sales, and today's lots were chiefly comprised of coarser varieties from stragglers in many instances. Also the wool was not so clean as earlier shorn lots. Despite these.drawbacks prices realised showed a rise of from id to Id per lb, and even up to l;>d in a few instances as compared with the highly satisfactory figures secured at last sale. The experience of all auctioneers was that the lota passed in at the last sale found buyers to foregoing degrees of advantage. Medium and inferior wool, which at last sale fetched to lOjd, to-day brought up to llgd and lid. This was a fairly general figure. WHEAT AND FLOUR. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) The wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,120,000 quarters, Continent 1,240,000 quarters, Atlantic shipments 216,000 quarters, Pacific 2000 quarters.
